Chinese New Year 2015 Pt 1.

Happy Chinese New Year! It is of course that time of year, the year of the Goat! Thanks to Wikipedia we learned that: Lucky Colors: brown, red, purple Lucky Numbers: 2, 7 Lucky Flowers: carnation, primrose Year of Birth: 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, 2015, 2027 For us we have decided to theme this months family dinners Chinese! At Morgyn’s Mums we made our version of Chow Mein. We used a few New York Strips and Pak Choi’s that are smaller than the regular Bok Choi’s. They fry up faster and pack a flavorful punch! Morgyn made her trademarked peanut sauce that of course I think goes well with veggies even in the raw! Enjoy the photos and Gung Hay Fat...
Pressure Cooked Beef Rib Stew

Pressure Cooked Beef Rib Stew

If you don’t have a pressure cooker and want to get one without breaking the bank, check out your local sally anne or VV. We got ours second hand. It was on sale because there was a slight crack in the handle, nothing too alarming or harmful to the productivity of the unit and we just love it!...

We brined the turkey over night and yesterday let it smoke all day, until a later dinner time..Morgyn made home made Cranberry sauce and gravy, as well as some boiled veggies! YUM!! I couldn’t help but go into the kitchen after dinner and tear off some of the Turkey left...
