Seedlings on St Patrick’s Day

Seedlings on St Patrick’s Day

It’s a beautiful sunny day in the Fraser Valley for St Patrick’s Day! Our seedlings are in the windowsill loving the rays of sun and we are hoping for more Reapers to come up. Keep your fingers crossed for us! Inside our Nursery

Inside our Nursery

We have been busy with our new garden seedlings this month. Our peppers, tomatoes and flowers are all starting to come up now and it’s only been a few weeks since we planted them in trays! This year we plan to expand our pepper sales at @DadsPeppers as we have a ton of  new varieties for 2016. We don’t just sell hot pepper plants we also have sweet peppers and not the same old bell pepper plants you will find in the big box stores. This year we are growing some new varieties of flowers as well, such as Impatient Balsam, Yellow Cerinthe, Purple Datura, Blue Datura, Euphorbia marginata or another name for the flower plant is called Snow on the Mountain! We don’t sell our flowers but they will look lovely in our yard. Tomatoes are a new thing for me this year as I planted 12 varieties of tomatoes I thought were popular and I may sell a few plants if people are interested when they are here buying their pepper plants. This is something I have researched but Morgyn really knows more about the tomatoes than I do and has an awesome soil mix for them that’s she’s made over the last few years. This year our Rhubarb in our garden is doing great! We grew it in a special spot for it to grow for years to come! As well as a Bergamot plant that we transplanted in the same spot. It sure will smell sweet there in the warmer weather coming soon. Our Asparagus is slowly starting new shoots and is loving the mulch...

Her sauce turned out mild and we’ve been enjoying it on meals and just by itself by the spoonful! What can I say we like to keep it...
