Flowers June 2016

Flowers June 2016

We’ve been super busy in the yard! Morgyn has been taking measurements of our roof for our big project this Summer and we’ve been doing yard work like crazy! There are these tall wild dandelion type flowers in the yard that are clearly weeds and holy cow when you pull them out of the ground the roots on them look like carrot roots! I planted some of our flowers in the Cedar planter boxes Morgyn built me and we watered them in today. Here are a few photos of the flowers in the Cedar boxes! Marigolds Marigolds about to bloom! Royal Carpet Alyssum Rose seedling from seed! Nigella that reseeded in it’s own container! 🙂 Petunia Yellow and Orange Nasturtiums Nigella and the view on our street! Morgyn measuring the roof! Money tree seeds! Huechera that reseeded in the winter! 🙂 Our flowers in the Cedar boxes Morgyn built for me! Coleus! Canturberry Bells! They came back from last year. I thought they were going to be poppies but nope! What a pleasant surprise! Calendula – In the Marigold family! Bachelors Buttons! They reseeded themselves too. 🙂 These are the flowers we have potted up so far! Stay tuned for more garden posts!...

I must tell you all my heat tolerance is getting better and now I can handle the heat of Jalapeno’s, Habanero Jellies and yesterday Morgyn snuck in a bit of Ghost pepper powder in our meal 😉 It was great! I really can’t go without spice on my plate now! Here are some photos of us preparing some...

Breakfast Egg Wraps

It is wet, and we are suppose to have this stormy weather for the next few days..yes it is here, the rainy season! This is when I look forward to the snow that arrives in the next few months! Rain can be so dreary but at least it sounds nice! Luckily for our peppers they are still doing great inside the greenhouse! It is pretty crazy that it is almost December and our pepper plants are still growing in the greenhouse! At this rate we will have fresh peppers all winter too! On cold wet days like this we like to have warming meals like these egg...
