Honey harvest in May 2016 was both saddening and celebratory. We inspected the hive first to see if any activity was going on, but just as Morgyn thought the bees died over the winter as there was a draft that was in the boxes causing the bees to not make it. Flowers During Our Heat Wave

Did I mention it’s hot out? Today our thermometer read 30C! It was only suppose to get to 22C but wow here in the Fraser Valley of BC it is very hot! We had to water our peppers and flowers a few times today to keep up with the sun! There has been some crazy happenings in the weather these last few weeks in Canada. There was the floods in Cache Creek, and then the fires in Alberta. I hope everyone is safe and staying cool in these crazy temperatures! It’s been super hot these last few weeks and our plants are loving it! With pepper plant sales slowing down as we sell out we have more time to work on other outside projects like building tables for our flowers! Yesterday I helped out by arranging the wooden 2×4’s and posts so we can put together more tables. Morgyn built some saw horses and now we have more plants out front!
